π₯Ίπ©· TWO WEEKS OLD, BABY XIMENA IS ALREADY FIGHTING FOR ANSWERS β WHILE HER FAMILY WAITS FAR FROM HOME πποΈ
Baby Ximena is only two weeks old, but her family is already facing a medical journey no parent ever wants to experience. πΆπ
Born with Down syndrome, Ximena was also found to have a heart problem shortly after birth. Despite that difficult start, she was strong enough to leave the hospital and go home with her parents, Maryann Mireles and Johnny Cazares, in Midland, Texas. π©·π‘
For a brief moment, they thought they could finally begin life together as a family.
Then, everything changed.

Just days later, Ximena began struggling to keep food down. She developed severe diarrhea, started losing weight, and became increasingly pale. Alarmed by how quickly their tiny daughter was becoming ill, her parents rushed her back to the hospital. π’π₯
Doctors determined that Ximena needed specialized care and arranged for her to be flown to Covenant Childrenβs Hospital in Lubbock.
Her parents barely had time to prepare.
They followed their newborn daughter to Lubbock with little more than the clothes they were wearing and whatever they had with them. πβοΈ
Now, they wait.
Doctors are performing tests and searching for answers about what is causing Ximena to become so sick, while also closely watching the concerns surrounding her heart. π©Ίπ
But there is another heartbreaking reality.
Five of Ximenaβs siblings are still back home in Midland. Her father may eventually have to return to care for the children and continue working, potentially leaving Maryann beside their fragile newborn in Lubbock. π
It is an impossible situation β a family divided between two places, with loved ones desperately needing them in both.
That’s why Ximena’s big sister, Lori, is asking people everywhere to help support their family, not only financially, but through prayer. πποΈ
π Pray that doctors find the answers Ximena needs.
π Pray that her tiny body grows stronger.
π©Ί Pray for wisdom and strength for every doctor and nurse caring for her.
π‘ And pray for Maryann, Johnny, and the five siblings waiting anxiously back home.
Before she became sick, little Ximena was pHΰΉΟographed wearing an enormous pink bow, her tiny face filled with the innocence of a newborn. ππ©·
She has only been in this world for two weeks.
Right now, her family isn’t asking for much.
They are simply asking the world to surround their precious baby girl with love, hope, and prayer. πΈππ
ποΈ If you believe in the power of prayer, please leave one for Baby Ximena. π©·π
