A66 CRASH, POLICE HEROES AND A £1.25M TRIBUTE — FUNDRAISER FOR PCS MATTHEW BLADES & TOM CLOUGH REACHES EMOTIONAL MILESTONE
An extraordinary wave of public support has raised around £1.25 million for the families of PCs Matthew Blades and Tom Clough, the two Cleveland Police officers who tragically d*ed in the A66 crash on August 22.
The main fundraiser reached just over £1.2 million before donations were paused, while a second appeal raised around £54,000. Together, the two campaigns brought the total to approximately £1.25 million.
The Cleveland Police Federation described the response as “truly overwhelming,” with people across the UK and beyond coming forward to show their support for the families during an incredibly difficult time.
The fundraising total stands as a powerful tribute to two officers remembered for their dedication, service and commitment to their communities.
