When little Ralph was born on March 25, his mother, Ciara, immediately noticed unusual red patches on his hands and feet. Within hours, fragile areas had appeared across his tiny body, and he was taken into intensive care. 🏥💔

After weeks of testing, Ralph was diagnosed with a rare form of junctional epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a genetic condition that makes the skin extremely fragile and vulnerable to friction. ❤️‍🩹

For his parents, even everyday tasks now require extraordinary care. Changing his nappy is a two-person job, bathing must be done very gently, and feeding often involves carefully reducing friction to protect his delicate skin. 🌷

The family has had to change almost every part of their daily life to keep Ralph safe. They rarely leave home, carefully monitor his skin and spend countless hours learning how to care for him. 💙

Yet Ralph is more than his condition.

He is a beloved little boy whose parents are determined to give him as much comfort, happiness and love as possible. 🥹💗

With support from specialists and EB organizations, Ciara is also sharing Ralph’s story to raise awareness and help other families who are walking a similar path.

His journey may be filled with challenges, but Ralph is growing up surrounded by people who will never stop protecting, loving and believing in him. 🌈🙏💙
