A search for 15-year-old Ryker Lee in Arizona took an unexpected turn after deputies investigating his disappearance discovered evidence that led to the arrest of his mother and stepfather.

Ryker was reported missing on September 22 after reportedly leaving his home in the Three Points area on foot. Because authorities said he has a medical condition requiring medication, deputies treated the disappearance as an urgent search.

Investigators examining the family property reported finding conditions they described as unsuitable for children. According to court documents cited by local media, deputies alleged that Ryker had been confined in a small area inside an RV, while his two younger siblings were living in the main residence.

Danielle Lee-Sharp, 39, and Michael Menzie, 43, were each arrested on three counts of child ab#se. Both later posted bond. The allegations remain matters for the court, and an arrest does not establish guilt.

The search for Ryker ended on September 25 when a community tip helped deputies locate him near South Sierrita Mountain Road and West Ajo Highway, about three miles from his home. Authorities confirmed that he was found safe and was subsequently placed in the custody of Arizona’s Department of Child Safety along with his younger siblings.

The case remains under investigation as authorities pursue the child-ab#se allegations and work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the teenager’s disappearance.
