His mother Brittney Battles Roberts shared the heartbreaking news with the world in a deeply emotional Facebook post shortly after 2:00 a.m. Central Time revealing that her son had pᴀssed away at exactly 12:45 a.m. on her own birthday while surrounded by the profound love of his family. “At 12:45 am (central time) today on my birthday our precious Will took his final breath on this earth and entered the presence of Jesus” she wrote describing how she Will’s father Jason Roberts a captain with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Bureau of Investigation his little sister Charlie his grandmother and her own father had gathered around Will’s hospital bed at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego California.

They held him close poured out their love and remained present until medical staff prepared to remove oxygen support and increase sedation.
