For Patrick Clancy, the memories of his three children—Cora, Dawson and Callan—remain part of his everyday life years after their deaths.

In his first major television interview since the trial involving their mother, Lindsay Clancy, ended without a verdict, Patrick revealed something deeply personal: he still talks to his children “all the time.”

When asked what he says to them, his answer was simple.

“Help me.”

Patrick explained that speaking to Cora, Dawson and Callan is one way he continues to feel connected to them. He said he likes to believe they do help him, even though they are no longer physically beside him.

For a grieving parent, that connection can carry a meaning that is difficult to explain to anyone who has never experienced such a loss. The children may no longer be there in person, but their memories remain woven into the life Patrick continues to live.

He also spoke about the devastating final days of his youngest child, Callan. After the January 2023 attack, the eight-month-old survived for several days before dying in Patrick’s arms.

That memory has remained with him.

Patrick described periods when grief became so overwhelming that he experienced suicidal thoughts. He also spoke about suffering a panic attack while testifying during Lindsay’s trial—another indication of how intensely the events have continued to affect him.

The legal case itself remains unresolved.

Lindsay Clancy admitted killing the three children but pleaded not guilty on the basis that she lacked criminal responsibility. Her defense argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors disputed that defense. The trial ended on September 4, 2026, after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict. Prosecutors have not yet announced whether they will pursue another trial.

Patrick has also reflected on the months before the tragedy, questioning whether he should have recognized the seriousness of Lindsay’s struggles sooner.

Looking back, he said he believes he did the best he could with the information available to him at the time.

But knowing that does not erase the pain.

Today, Patrick has remarried Dr. Rachel Danis, and the couple are expecting a child together. Danis has spoken about first seeing a pH๏τograph of Cora, Dawson and Callan and asking Patrick who they were.

That moment reflects something Patrick has made clear: moving forward does not mean leaving his three children behind.

They remain part of his story.
