Born without her left forearm and hand, Carson Pickett learned from an early age that she might have to do some things differently. But she never allowed that difference to decide how big her dreams could be. 🌷💗

Growing up in South Carolina, Carson fell in love with soccer. She trained, adapted, worked hard, and eventually earned a place at Florida State University before beginning her professional career in the NWSL. ⚽✨

Then, on June 28, 2022, Carson stepped onto the field for the U.S. Women’s National Team against Colombia and played the full 90 minutes. She became the first player with a limb difference to play for the U.S. women’s national team. 🇺🇸🥹

But Carson’s story is about more than breaking a barrier. She has also been recognized for her talent, earning NWSL Best XI honors in 2021 and 2022, and later helping Orlando Pride win both the NWSL Shield and Championship in 2024. 🏆💙

🌈 Carson never wanted to be defined by what she was missing. She wanted to be known as a footballer — a defender, a teammate, and an athlete. And she proved that sometimes the path to a dream may look different, but the dream itself never has to become smaller. ✨🙏
