FOUR-YEAR-OLD DAMON JONES FIGHTS SEVERE PULMONARY ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION AS HIS FAMILY HOLDS ON TO HOPE

Four-year-old Damon Jones is facing a serious medical battle after being diagnosed with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a rare condition that causes dangerously high pressure in the blood vessels connecting the heart and lungs.
Genetic testing has confirmed an underlying genetic cause, while doctors continue working to better understand Damon’s condition and identify treatments his body can tolerate.

Damon recently underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure, during which doctors measured the pressures in his heart and lungs and successfully closed a hole in his heart using a specialized device. The goal is to improve blood flow and reduce some of the strain on his heart and lungs.
Although the procedure went well, Damon still has a long road ahead. He remains intubated and sedated while his medical team closely monitors his heart and lungs and hopes he will become strong enough to have the breathing tube safely removed.
For his family, every improvement is meaningful. They continue to stay by his side, holding on to hope and praying that their little boy will grow stronger each day.
Please keep Damon and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he continues this difficult journey.
