🧡 South Florida Community Stands Together to Remember Brianna Johnson and Arthur Lee Johnson III

A community gathered not only to mourn… but to demand change.
Two young lives filled with dreams were remembered by hundreds of people.
Now, a family is turning unimaginable heartbreak into a message of hope. 🕊️

More than 100 relatives, friends, and community members came together in Pompano Beach on July 16, 2026, to honor Brianna Johnson and her cousin, Arthur Lee Johnson III.

The two 21-year-olds shared a lifelong connection. They grew up together, attended Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, and remained extremely close throughout their lives.

Family members said their bond was more like siblings than cousins. Brianna and Arthur had created years of memories together, making their sudden loss even more painful for everyone who knew them.

The gathering began with a community march from Mitchell Moore Park to the E. Pat Larkins Community Center. Participants walked nearly a mile through the neighborhood while the Blanche Ely High School drumline provided music for the procession.

Many wore orange shirts displaying the message “Enough is Enough,” showing their shared desire for a safer future and an end to violence affecting communities across South Florida.

Brianna’s mother, Hope Johnson, carried a large pH๏τo of her daughter during the march and later spent time in prayer beside it. Another family member carried a childhood pH๏τo showing Brianna and Arthur together as babies — a reminder that their connection began from the very beginning of their lives.

Family members described the pair as inseparable.

Brianna’s grandfather, Ritchie Robinson, said they were “two peas in a pod,” always supporting each other and staying close through every stage of life.

According to Miramar Police, the incident occurred early on July 5 near Southwest 27th Court and Sunshine Boulevard. Authorities said Brianna, Arthur, and another individual were traveling in a vehicle when another vehicle approached and multiple individuals were injured.

Brianna pᴀssed away that same day, while Arthur later pᴀssed away several days afterward. The third individual survived and was released from medical care.

At the time of the community march, authorities had not announced any arrests or released additional details regarding those responsible.

Beyond the tragedy, Brianna’s family also celebrated the life she built. Known online as DreamDoll Brii, she had gained a large following on social media, where many admired her confidence, personality, and positive energy.

Relatives remembered her as outgoing, generous, and someone who brought joy to those around her. Younger family members shared stories about her kindness, while loved ones described Arthur as the cousin she shared the strongest connection with.

For the Johnson family, the gathering was about more than remembering two lives lost. It was about honoring their dreams, supporting one another, and encouraging the community to come together.
