Suspect in Joe Burrow break-in wore Bengals hat at traffic stop that led to arrest

Police body cam footage showed one of the men believed to be involved with the burglary at the home of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow wearing a Bengals winter hat at the time police stopped them earlier this month.

Sergio Cabello, Jordan Sanchez, Bastian Morales and Alexander Huaiquil-Chavez are facing felony charges of participating in a criminal gang and possessing criminal tools following the Jan. 10 traffic stop, which came after an alleged improper lane change.

The footage, which was released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Wednesday, showed one of the individuals wearing the Bengals hat as the officer approached the car to speak with the occupants.

All four men are Chilean nationals, and according to police reports, were “identified as being illegally in the country or overstayed their permissions.”

The roughly 21-minute video also showed the officer pulling out the driver to speak with him due to the smell of marijuana in the car.

Police searched the car after detecting the smell of weed, which is when authorities discovered a designer bag and suitcase that contained an LSU T-shirt.

The officers also found window punchers wrapped in a towel inside the glove box.

The body camera footage captured the men telling officers they were on their way to Florida at the time of the stop.

Burrow’s home was burglarized in December while the Bengals star was on the field facing the Cowboys.

Police reports revealed that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Olivia Ponton was in the house and dialed 911 to report the break-in.

Burrow expressed frustration about the lack of privacy that occurred following the burglary.

“I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one. And way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share, so that’s all I got to say about that,” he said in a press conference in December.
