The Flash is considered a movie that reboots the timeline and development direction of the DC Cinematic Universe (DCU). The movie has many interesting and exciting details with the return of Batman Michael Keaton and two versions of Flash, but it is overloaded with too many messages.
Double Flash, Double Entertainment
After 7 years since joining the DC Cinematic Universe, superhero The Flash has his own movie. First appearing on the big screen in 2016 with Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Flash quickly became an important character and was “admitted” to the Justice League, a team of the most powerful superheroes.
The Flash is the nickname of the young man Barry Allen (Ezra Miller). After a tragic accident with lightning in the laboratory, he was given the power of electricity and lightning. Coming to The Flash, Barry Allen has almost completed his powers but is still trying to balance the daily life of an office worker with the responsibility of a superhero doing justice. Stuck in clearing the name of his father who was falsely accused of killing his wife, Barry decided to use his powers to go back in time and save his mother.
Saving his biological mother’s life, Barry then caused a disastrous consequence that bent the timeline, opening up the multiverse and worlds colliding. At that time, General Zod – the villain in Man of Steel appeared but there was no existence of Superman or other heroes in the Justice League. To prevent the apocalypse, Barry must stay in the past to track down the whereabouts of the unseen Superman and re-arrange the accident to ensure his past self receives his natural powers.
The reunion between the two Flashes makes the movie interesting.
Barry Allen’s change of the past has upset the order of the universe.
The Flash is the story of Barry Allen having to “clean up” the mess he caused. And by exploiting time travel, opening up the multiverse, James Gunn and the new creative team of DC Studio have a reasonable excuse to “reboot everything”, paving the way for DCU in 2025. Right from the start, the film has created excitement when 2 Barry Allens appear with completely opposite personalities. When not falling into a childhood tragedy, Barry Allen grows up as a “young buffalo” boy who is carefree in life. They have to work together to save the world, creating many funny and sad situations.
The film is led at a moderate pace, the information flow is easy to understand and does not puzzle viewers too much with “brain-hacking” concepts about the multiverse. The Flash also treats viewers to many eye-catching action scenes. The “twin swords combined” of the 2 Barry Allens are sometimes humorous, sometimes very majestic. When “splitting” to play two versions of Barry Allen, actor Ezra Miller did a great job of portraying the two lightning superheroes’ different personalities. Putting aside his personal scandals and scandals, Ezra Miller was truly the right choice for the role.
