🥺💗 SHE WAS BORN DIFFERENT — BUT LITTLE JEMMA IS LEARNING TO CHASE EVERY DREAM SHE HAS 🌈✨

When Tamara first held her newborn daughter Jemma, she was overwhelmed with emotion.

Born in Oklahoma, Jemma came into the world with a rare limb difference. She had three fingers on each hand, while her right leg was missing an ankle and had developed differently. Her family worried about how this might affect her ability to move as she grew. 💗

Doctors discussed several possible treatments, including procedures that could have meant repeated surgeries. After carefully considering her daughter’s future, Tamara made a difficult decision.

At just nine months old, Jemma underwent a knee-disarticulation procedure, followed by a prosthetic leg only two months later. 🏥🦿

From there, her family encouraged her to discover what she could do rather than focus on what might be difficult.

Jemma learned to walk, run, ride a bicycle, hike, play soccer and even jump on a trampoline. And today, one of her biggest dreams is to become a cheerleader. 📣💗

Even with three fingers on each hand, Jemma has found her own way to grip, play and explore. Her mother says she rarely wants to sit still — with or without her prosthetic. 🥹✨

For Jemma, her differences are simply part of who she is.

She isn’t waiting for the world to make room for her. She’s already finding her own way forward — one little step, one big dream at a time. 🌷🌈💙
