For much of her childhood, Nikki Lilly was used to people noticing the difference in her face before they noticed her.

At just six years old, Nikki began experiencing unusual swelling on one side of her face. After years of medical appointments, tests and procedures, she was diagnosed with a rare vascular condition called high-flow craniofacial arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Her journey would eventually include nearly 100 major medical procedures. 🏥💗

But Nikki decided she didn’t want her condition to be the only thing people saw.

She began sharing her life online — from makeup and fashion to everyday moments and the challenges of living with a visible difference. Over time, her voice reached millions, and she became a presenter, author and advocate for people with facial differences and rare conditions. 🌷✨

Then came a moment she had once been nervous to imagine: the 2026 Oscars red carpet. 🎬✨

Standing among Hollywood stars and hundreds of cameras, Nikki wondered whether she truly belonged there.
