💔 SIR CHRIS HOY SHARES A DEEPLY PERSONAL CANCER UPDATE — BUT HIS MESSAGE IS ONE OF HOPE

Sir Chris Hoy has opened up again about living with stage 4 prostate cancer, sharing a deeply personal perspective on the uncertain future he was given after his diagnosis.

The six-time Olympic gold medallist revealed in 2024 that his cancer had spread to his bones. Doctors initially told him he could have between two and four years to live, a prognosis that changed the way he looked at time, family and everyday life.

But in a recent interview, Hoy made clear that he is still living his life with purpose. He said he is “doing really well” and continues to focus on the present rather than allowing cancer to define every day.

His treatment has not always been straightforward, but Hoy has continued cycling, spending time with his family and working to raise awareness of prostate cancer. His Tour de 4 charity event has also become an important part of his mission to support people living with advanced cancer.

Rather than focusing only on the prognosis he was originally given, Hoy has repeatedly spoken about making the most of the time he has — appreciating his family, pursuing goals and encouraging others facing similar circumstances not to feel alone.

His latest message is a powerful reminder that a difficult diagnosis does not necessarily mean giving up on life. For Hoy, the focus remains on today, the people around him and the hope that new treatments can continue changing what the future looks like. ❤️
