⚡ TWO MINDS, TWO DREAMS, ONE EXTRAORDINARY LIFE: THE INSPIRING JOURNEY OF SOHNA AND MOHNA ❤️

AMRITSAR, INDIA — Sohna and Mohna have spent their entire lives sharing something most people could never imagine: one body and one pair of legs.

Yet despite their physical connection, the brothers have always been recognized as two individuals, each with their own personality, thoughts, choices, and dreams. ❤️

Born in New Delhi in June 2003, the conjoined twins were examined by doctors at AIIMS shortly after birth. Medical specialists determined that separating them could put one brother’s life at serious risk and potentially cause severe complications for the other.

The decision was therefore made for the brothers to remain together.

When they were only two months old, Sohna and Mohna were brought to Pingalwara, a charitable home in Amritsar, after their biological parents said they were unable to support them.

There, the staff became their family.

Growing up, the brothers faced challenges that most people could hardly imagine. Their bodies have separate hearts, arms, kidneys, and spinal cords, while sharing a liver, gallbladder, spleen, and one pair of legs.

Even walking requires coordination between them.

But Sohna and Mohna refused to let their physical circumstances define who they could become.

As children, they developed a strong interest in electricity and electronics. That curiosity eventually became something much bigger—a career.

After completing an electrical diploma at an Industrial Training Insтιтute, the brothers were hired by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).

In December 2021, they began working at a 66 KV power facility in Amritsar, where they helped monitor electrical systems. ⚡👨‍🔧

For the brothers, it was a remarkable achievement.

Their childhood fascination with electricity had transformed into a profession, giving them the opportunity to contribute their skills in the workplace and build greater independence.

But their story reached another significant milestone in 2022.

Election officials recognized Sohna and Mohna as two individual voters and issued them separate voter identification cards. 🗳️

When they participated in an election for the first time, special arrangements were reportedly made so that each brother could cast his choice privately.

That moment represented something much larger than simply voting.

It reflected their individual idenтιтies—two people who happen to share a body but retain separate thoughts, preferences, and voices.

Their journey has challenged the way many people think about disability, individuality, and possibility.

Sohna and Mohna were born into circumstances they never chose. They could not change the body they shared or the challenges that came with it.

But they could choose how they approached life.

They chose education.

They chose work.

They chose independence.

And they chose to pursue interests that began with simple childhood curiosity. 🌟
