🥺💙 AT JUST 4, THAO LIVES WITH ONE OF THE WORLD’S RAREST CLEFT CONDITIONS — AND DREAMS OF BREATHING THROUGH HER NOSE 🌸🙏

For four-year-old Thao, something most of us do without ever thinking about it — breathing through our nose — has never been possible. 💔

Thao was born with an extremely rare craniofacial condition known as “cleft number 0,” a condition doctors say is far more complex than a typical cleft palate. 👧🏻🏥

Because of her condition, Thao cannot speak and has difficulty breathing normally through her nose. She has had to rely largely on breathing through her mouth, making everyday life a constant challenge. 😢

Her father, Duong, has spent years caring for his daughter and searching for the medical help she needs.

💙 “Thao can hear us and understands what we say, but sometimes she needs more time to understand and respond,” he explained. “I just want her to have a chance to live more comfortably.”

But Thao’s medical challenges are only part of the family’s difficult journey.

Her parents separated when she was very young, and her mother left when Thao was only a few months old. Since then, Duong has raised Thao and her two older brothers, who are seven and eight years old, by himself. 👨‍👧‍👦💙

Normally, Duong works in construction to provide for his children. But as Thao’s condition became increasingly demanding, he had to give up his work so he could take her to appointments and remain by her side. 🏥🙏

Now, the family is holding onto hope as doctors prepare Thao for reconstructive surgery. ✨

The surgery itself will be provided free of charge, but the family will still need to cover medication, nutrition, transportation, and daily care during her recovery.

Without a regular income, even these basic necessities have become a tremendous burden for her father. 💔

Still, Duong refuses to give up.

He knows the operation may be complicated, but he hopes it can give his daughter something she has long dreamed of — a better quality of life and, most importantly, the possibility of communicating more easily. 🌈💕

“I know this will not be an easy journey,” he said. “But I hope the doctors can help improve her face and, most importantly, give my daughter a chance to speak.”

For Duong, this surgery isn’t simply about changing Thao’s appearance.
