When Leidy Ardila was a child, her family heard frightening predictions about her future.

Doctors worried that she might never learn to walk and might not survive childhood. But Leidy’s journey would eventually prove that a medical prognosis does not always tell the whole story. 💙

Leidy lives with fibrous dysplasia, a rare condition in which healthy bone is partly replaced by fibrous tissue. In her case, the condition particularly affected the bones of her face, changing her appearance and bringing challenges from a young age.

Her childhood included hospital visits, examinations and treatments while she watched other children grow up with fewer uncertainties. 🏥💔

But one thing never changed:

Leidy kept moving forward.

Despite the doubts surrounding her future, Leidy eventually learned to walk and began building a life of her own.

She developed her talents and found her professional path as a graphic designer. 💻✨
