🚨 CHRISTa PIKE FACES SEPTEMBER 30 EX@CUTION AS LEGAL FIGHT CONTINUES
Christa Pike, the only woman currently on Tennessee’s death row, is scheduled for execution on September 30, 2026. Tennessee’s Department of Correction has confirmed the date and has already begun preparations for media witnesses.
Pike’s legal team is continuing to seek clemency from Gov. Bill Lee. A 226-page peтιтion asks that her sentence be changed to life imprisonment without parole and presents arguments concerning her documented history of severe childhood abuse and other circumstances surrounding her case.
Her attorneys have also challenged Tennessee’s execution protocol in court. Recent legal efforts have included arguments concerning the state’s lethal-injection procedures, while a federal group of human-rights experts has separately called for the execution to be halted.
The claim that Pike has “refused every method Tennessee can use” needs some qualification: the publicly available sources I found do not establish that wording as a confirmed fact. What is documented is that she has challenged Tennessee’s execution protocol, including on religious and consтιтutional grounds.
Her case remains subject to further legal and clemency proceedings before the scheduled date.
