At just 6 months old, baby Luka has already endured challenges most people could never imagine. Born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate as well as the extremely rare Tessier 3 cleft, his first months of life have been filled with medical appointments, specialist consultations, and preparations for complex surgeries.

Luka’s journey has not been easy. Several planned procedures have been delayed due to illness and insurance complications, forcing his family to wait even longer for the care he needs. Doctors expect he will undergo multiple surgeries this year, with additional procedures likely as he grows to help improve his ability to eat, speak, breathe, and develop comfortably.

Despite every setback, Luka continues to inspire those around him with his strength and determination. Through countless hospital visits and uncertain moments, he has shown a resilience far beyond his age, reminding everyone that even the smallest fighters can possess extraordinary courage.
