💔 Two pH๏τos of the same woman now tell a story her family wishes they never had to live. One shows Yesana smiling, dressed up and surrounded by what looked like ordinary life. For approximately five years, Yesana had been battling severe gastrointestinal problems and chronic vomiting. Her family says the illness gradually made nearly every part of life harder, including eating, working and maintaining reliable medical insurance.

Then, in recent months, her condition became dramatically worse.

Yesana lost about 60 pounds because she could barely tolerate food. Doctors eventually discovered mᴀsses in her pelvis that appeared to have spread and may have originated in her ovaries.

The mᴀsses were also affecting her colon and causing a blockage.

That discovery led to the major surgery her family had feared.

Yesana underwent a total hysterectomy and an extensive debulking procedure. Because the disease had affected her colon, surgeons also had to remove part of it.

Her family says Yesana is now recovering with an ostomy bag.

And the next stage of her fight is already waiting.
