💔 BROTHER LOST, SISTER FIGHTING: MICHIGAN FAMILY FACES UNIMAGINABLE HEARTBREAK

‼️ They were simply two siblings riding their bicycles together. Now their parents are preparing to bury their son while praying their daughter survives.
💔 Calvin Shepard was only 12 when an SUV struck him and his 13-year-old sister, Karalee, near Williamston, Michigan.
🙏 Calvin is gone. Karalee remains in critical condition—and her mother is begging everyone: “Please don’t stop praying.”

Cody and Raquel Shepard are living through a parent’s worst nightmare.

They have lost their 12-year-old son while sitting beside their critically injured daughter, hoping and praying that Karalee will eventually come home.

The siblings were riding their bicycles near Williamston when they were struck by an SUV. Calvin did not survive.

Karalee survived the crash but suffered a severe head injury and remains in critical condition, according to friends of the family.

Her mother, Raquel, is making sure people understand that despite any encouraging moments, Karalee is still facing an extremely difficult battle.

“Please don’t stop praying. She’s not out of the woods yet.”

Those words have become the family’s plea.

April, who shared the family’s story, knows Cody and Raquel personally. She said Raquel has spent much of her time caring for and encouraging other children, including coaching her own child in swimming this summer.

Now, an entire community is trying to surround her family with that same love and support. ❤️

A fundraiser has been established to help ease some of the financial burden created by the tragedy, including funeral expenses for Calvin.

But money cannot change what is happening inside that hospital.

A mother and father are grieving the loss of their son while continuing to fight beside their daughter.

They are mourning Calvin while hoping Karalee will survive.

They are trying to find strength for tomorrow while living through unimaginable pain today.

For Karalee, the road ahead remains uncertain. Her family is praying for healing in her brain and body and hoping every small improvement brings them closer to bringing their daughter home.
