LOUIE BROWN’S JOURNEY: FROM A DIFFICULT DECISION TO HIS FIRST STEPS

When Emmy and Justin learned during a routine 20-week ultrasound that their unborn son Louie had significant differences in the development of both lower legs, they were suddenly faced with a future they had never expected.
Further examinations revealed bilateral tibial deficiencies, meaning the main weight-bearing bones in both of Louie’s lower legs had not fully developed. He was also born with a fused thumb and index finger on one hand.
