Tragic video showing Lindsay Clancy, her then-husband, Patrick, and their three young children on one of their final family outings before she killed the kids was played at the mom’s murder trial Thursday in Mᴀssachusetts.
Earlier in the day, evidence from text messages, Google searches and secret notes Clancy kept on her phone gave the jury got an inside look at the killer mom’s mental state, and the dynamic between her and Patrick in the days and hours leading up to the postpartum mother’s horrific acts on Jan. 24, 2023.
Clancy, 36, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and faces life in prison without parole if convicted for strangling Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, with exercise bands in the family’s basement gym.
The defense argues that the former labor and delivery nurse is not criminally responsible for killing them because she was suffering from undiagnosed postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder, exacerbated by a dangerous cocktail of 13 powerful psychiatric medications.

Prosecutor Shanan Buckingham asked the judge to allow her to obtain the logs of everyone who has visited Lindsay Clancy in a lockup area while she’s been at the courthouse over the past three weeks.
Nurses, a priest, a doctor and others have visited Clancy in a locked area at court and Buckingham said the logs of those visits are needed in case any of them are called as defense witnesses.

Dr. Paul Zeizel, a forensic psychiatrist who is included on Clancy’s witness list, was one of the people to meet with her there, Buckingham said.
Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, explained the priest was Father Bob, a Roman Catholic priest who baptized Clancy’s kids and has been by Clancy’s side since the murders.
Judge William Sullivan said he wouldn’t allow the prosecution to get any information for any of Clancy’s visitors other than Zeizel.
Jury let go for a long weekend
Judge William Sullivan has dismissed the jury for the day. Trial is not set to convene on Friday so the panelists will have a three-day break from the case.

The 18-person jury was just shown surveillance video of Lindsay Clancy with her family at the Museum of Science in Boston from Jan. 8, 2023 — just over two weeks before she killed the kids on Jan. 23.

The video was shown as lead investigator Joshua McKelligan testified Thursday.

Jurors also saw a video McKelligan took of Clancy’s blood spattered bedroom and pH๏τos of the outside of her house with blood on the shingles.
