The case of 17-year-old Louis Hervé continues to draw nationwide attention in France as newly reported findings from the medical examination have added further detail to the investigation.

According to reports, the autopsy concluded that Louis suffered multiple severe head injuries, including extensive bruising to the back of the head, a frontal skull fracture, and traumatic brain injuries consistent with the violent ᴀssault described by investigators. The examination reportedly confirmed that he later died from these injuries despite emergency medical treatment.

Louis was allegedly lured to a construction site in Narbonne on June 19, where prosecutors say he was attacked by a group of young people. He was hospitalized in critical condition but died four days later. Five suspects have since been placed under formal investigation and remain in pretrial detention while authorities continue to determine each person’s role and the motive behind the attack.

The new medical findings have intensified public discussion, with many supporters of the “Justice for Louis” movement calling for a full accounting of the events leading up to his death. Louis’s family has continued urging authorities to pursue every available lead and ensure the judicial process establishes exactly what happened.

Although significant progress has been made in the investigation, prosecutors have stated that some aspects of the case—including the precise motive—remain under investigation.
