As the one-year anniversary of Gus Lamont’s disappearance approaches, his parents, Jess and Josh, have spoken publicly for the first time in an emotional appeal for information.

Four-year-old Gus was reported missing from Oak Park Station in South Australia on September 27, 2025. Despite an extensive search involving police, emergency services, volunteers and defence personnel, no trace of him has been found.

His mother Jess described the past year as the most devastating experience the family has ever endured. She said Gus should have celebrated his fifth birthday and watched his baby brother reach important milestones during the time he has been missing.

Josh said the family remains desperate for answers and believes someone may know what happened to their son.

South Australian authorities have now offered a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to a conviction or to Gus’s whereabouts. Police say investigators have also identified anomalies in their analysis of aerial imagery that may warrant further examination.

Police continue to investigate the disappearance as a major crime. Authorities have urged anyone with genuine information to come forward rather than spreading speculation or unverified theories.

For Jess and Josh, the message remains simple: they want answers, and they want Gus home.
