The investigation surrounding a Philadelphia home has grown dramatically since authorities first began examining the property in June 2026.

What initially centered on Eugene Horsch and the disappearance of one woman has expanded into a much larger investigation involving at least seven missing women. Police now say five of those women are believed to be d#ead, although no physical rem#ins have been recovered and Eugene Horsch has not been charged in connection with the women’s disappearances. Investigators are still reviewing a huge volume of digital evidence.

Here is what investigators have publicly connected so far.

2012 — GABRIELLE AMARANDO DISAPPEARS

Gabrielle Amarando was 22 when she disappeared from Philadelphia in September 2012.

Years later, investigators reviewing material recovered from the West Chew Avenue property found digital files that they say appear to show Amarando.

Police have said the material led them to believe she is no longer alive. However, her physical rem#ins have never been located, and officials have stressed that the investigation is continuing.

2016 — AMY MCHALE VANISHES

Amy McHale disappeared in June 2016.

McHale was reportedly the former wife of Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, Eugene Horsch’s father, who also lived at the property before his d#ath in 2025.

Her disappearance has now become part of the wider investigation surrounding the home. Police are examining the history of the property and the people who lived there as they work to determine what happened to the missing women.

2018 — MARIBEL FRESSES DISAPPEARS

Maribel Fresses, 27, disappeared in February 2018.

During their examination of digital evidence recovered from the home, investigators found material they say appears to show Fresses seriously injured and later no longer alive.

Philadelphia police announced in August that they believed Fresses and Amarando had been k#lled, but neither woman’s physical rem#ins had been found. Without rem#ins, officials said the medical examiner could not issue a d#ath certificate or determine a cause of d#ath.

2018 — NICOLE FUSARO DISAPPEARS

Nicole Fusaro, who was 27 when she disappeared in 2018, was later identified as another woman connected to the investigation.

According to Philadelphia police and reporting from her family, investigators found footage they believe depicts Fusaro in the Horsch home.

Her case has added another significant element to the investigation, although authorities continue to review the evidence and have not announced a homicide charge against Eugene Horsch.

2023 — BLAIR TONZELLI DISAPPEARS

Blair Tonzelli disappeared in 2023.

Her name became central to the investigation after Eugene Horsch was arrested in June 2026 following an encounter near Philadelphia’s Independence Mall. A woman with him was carrying identification belonging to Tonzelli, according to police.

That discovery prompted investigators to examine Horsch’s connection to the Chew Avenue property and eventually led to searches that uncovered a huge collection of digital material.

2026 — THE INVESTIGATION EXPLODES

The scale of the investigation became clear after police searched the West Chew Avenue home.

Authorities have said they recovered more than one million digital images and videos, along with thousands of pages of writings and other material. By September, investigators had connected at least seven missing women to the property, with five believed to be d#ead.

Investigators have also identified dozens of other people appearing in the files and are working to determine who they are and whether they can provide information about what happened inside the property.

WHAT IS STILL UNKNOWN?

Despite the enormous amount of evidence being examined, major questions remain unanswered.

No physical rem#ins belonging to the missing women have been recovered. Investigators are still working through the digital files, conducting interviews and examining the history of the property.

And importantly, Eugene Horsch has not been charged with k#lling any of the missing women. His existing criminal case stems from separate allegations, while the missing-women investigation remains active.

The investigation has therefore expanded far beyond a single disappearance. What began with a June 2026 arrest has developed into one of Philadelphia’s largest ongoing missing-person investigations, with authorities still trying to establish exactly what happened to the women connected to the West Chew Avenue home.
