🥺💗 THEY WERE TOLD THEY MIGHT HAVE ONLY DAYS WITH HER — BUT LITTLE IRIS KEPT FIGHTING

Baby Iris Faith was born on July 16, 2026, with Trisomy 18. Doctors initially believed she might live for only two to seven days. Just two days after her birth, her parents brought their tiny 3-pound daughter home on hospice, preparing themselves for the heartbreak of saying goodbye. 💔

But Iris had other plans. 🌷

She kept fighting — and today, she is 51 days old, far beyond what her family was first told to expect.

After spending more time in the hospital, doctors discovered that Iris has pyloric stenosis, a narrowing that prevents food from pᴀssing normally from the stomach into the small intestine. Surgery could usually correct the problem, but because of Iris’s fragile condition and Trisomy 18, doctors believe an operation is currently too risky. 🏥

For now, she is receiving nutrition through a PICC line while doctors try atropine in hopes of helping the pᴀssage open enough for her to tolerate food.

At the same time, her breathing has become more difficult, leaving her family facing days that can change quickly from hopeful to frightening.

Still, her parents continue to stand beside her, asking for prayers, love, and strength. 🙏💗
