Reports have also described suspicious activity in the wider neighborhood before Nancy disappeared. One neighbor recalled seeing a man behaving unusually near the area weeks earlier, while separate doorbell-camera footage showed a man approaching another Tucson residence roughly a week before the disappearance. Investigators have been examining whether any of these sightings are connected, although no connection has been established publicly.

The surveillance evidence has become particularly important because investigators have found relatively little physical evidence pointing directly to a suspect. Authorities have continued analyzing camera footage, DNA and other leads while working to establish who entered Nancy’s home and what happened afterward.

The case has also involved ransom communications, including two notes that authorities have released in hopes that members of the public might recognize the writer’s language or other identifying details. Officials have stressed that the claims contained in those messages should not automatically be treated as confirmed facts.

For Savannah Guthrie and her family, the investigation remains painfully unresolved. More than six months after Nancy disappeared, they are still waiting for definitive answers about what happened to her.

Whether the surveillance footage ultimately reveals a connection to Nancy’s disappearance remains unknown. But investigators continue to examine every possible lead as the search for answers goes on.
