“DON’T WORRY, MOM. I’VE GOT THIS.” — 9-YEAR-OLD ZOEY JONES FACES BRAIN SURGERY FOR MOYAMOYA DISEASE

Next Wednesday, August 12, 9-year-old Zoey Jones of Gardendale, Alabama, is scheduled to undergo brain surgery after doctors diagnosed her with Moyamoya disease, a rare condition that affects blood flow to the brain and can increase the risk of strokes and seizures.
Zoey has already spent much of her childhood dealing with sickle cell disease, undergoing blood transfusions, medical procedures and countless hospital visits since she was just 6 months old.
