FBI REPORTS AND KATIE–BART CLAIMS: WHAT IS ACTUALLY CONFIRMED IN THE NOLAN WELLS CASE
New attention has focused on online claims about an alleged connection between Bart Edmiston Jr. and Katie McCormick in the Nolan Wells investigation.
However, current reporting does not establish that the FBI is investigating a romantic relationship between Katie and Bart. Bart’s attorney, Russell Latino, has specifically denied the claims, saying Bart never dated Katie and did not know who she was before Nolan’s dath. He has also denied that Bart had any involvement in Nolan’s dath.
The FBI has been mentioned in connection with the case because Bart’s attorney said federal, state and local authorities were notified after Bart reportedly received a credible threat amid the online speculation. That is different from confirmation that the FBI is examining the alleged Katie–Bart relationship as part of Nolan’s d*ath investigation.
Authorities have not publicly established the online relationship claims as fact. Bart has reportedly cooperated with investigators by providing access to his boat, GPS information and phone records.
So, for now, the Katie–Bart connection remains an online allegation rather than a confirmed investigative finding.
