Baby Liam entered the world two weeks before his due date, but his arrival was unlike anything his family had expected.

He was born with a large fluid-filled sac on his forehead, a rare condition that led his loved ones to affectionately nickname it his “squishy.” Shortly after birth, Liam was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where specialists began evaluating the complex medical care he would need.

Only a few weeks later, Liam underwent a highly specialized operation. A few months after that, a team of surgeons spent 11 hours performing extensive reconstructive surgery on his skull and forehead in an effort to give him the best possible outcome.

Throughout every stage of his journey, Liam’s family has remained by his side. His mother has shared that if she could have one wish, it would be to spare her son from every painful moment he has endured while fighting through these extraordinary challenges.
