Like every expectant parent, Brandon Rudd and Alexandra Seaman dreamed of welcoming a healthy baby into the world. But when their first child was born, their lives took an unexpected turn.

On September 10, their son, Forrest Wayne Rudd, entered the world missing both legs and his left arm. His right arm had also not fully developed. Although his condition came as a complete surprise, one thing quickly became clear—Forrest was a determined little fighter.

💙 Throughout Alexandra’s pregnancy, everything appeared to be progressing normally.

According to the family, she attended regular prenatal appointments and completed routine pregnancy testing. Because she had planned a natural home birth, she chose not to have an ultrasound during most of her pregnancy.

After pᴀssing her due date without going into labor, Alexandra returned to her obstetrician at 41½ weeks for additional monitoring. It was then, during an ultrasound, that doctors discovered their baby had significant limb differences and was in a breech position.

Instead of the home birth they had planned, Alexandra was rushed to the hospital, where she delivered Forrest by cesarean section.

Although Forrest was born with multiple limb differences, he was otherwise healthy. Doctors were unable to determine why his limbs had not developed normally.

The unexpected diagnosis was emotionally overwhelming for Brandon and Alexandra, who suddenly found themselves facing a future they had never imagined.

🙏 In the midst of their uncertainty, Alexandra had one heartfelt prayer.

She hoped that everyone who met Forrest would love and accept him exactly as he was.

“My prayers were not only heard, but also answered. People cared about and loved Forrest.”
The family soon found themselves surrounded by an incredibly supportive community. Friends, neighbors, and even complete strangers offered encouragement, prayers, hugs, and kindness during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

“We received hugs from so many strangers. They reminded us again that God is good,” Alexandra shared.
🎉 On September 10, Forrest celebrated his first birthday—a milestone filled with joy, love, and graтιтude.

Today, he is a happy, healthy little boy who continues to inspire everyone around him with his bright smile, resilient spirit, and infectious personality.
