Today was a difficult day for Will Roberts.
When the doctor called to deliver the tumor marker results, the 15-year-old couldn’t hold back his tears.
Will cried and told his mother, Brittney, that he feared dying in California – where he was pursuing his last glimmer of hope through DeltaRex-G therapy – instead of returning home to his family, friends, fishing rod, off-road vehicle, and the life he loved most.
Those words broke his mother’s heartBrittney shared that this journey of faith was far more difficult than she could possibly describe.
While Will was fighting far from home, his younger sister, Charlie – only 12 years old – was also homesick and grieving.
“Devil did his best to overwhelm our family today,” Brittney wrote.
They didn’t know what tomorrow would bring. It could be good news. It could be bad news. But one thing they knew for sure: They had come too far, and couldn’t stop now.

Despite fear, exhaustion, and moments of unbearable hope, the Roberts family held hands and continued onward. Will was still fighting.
Brittney remained strong for her son. And Charlie was still waiting for his brother to return.
This was a journey filled with tears, fragile hope, and unwavering faith. But it was precisely these moments of vulnerability, like today, that revealed their true strength – the strength of family love and unyielding faith.
