Mark Andrews ducks media again a day after costing Ravens in playoff heartbreaker

Mark Andrews still wasn’t ready to face the music on Monday.

After not being available to reporters Sunday night to address his blunders in the Ravens’ gut-wrenching playoff loss to the Bills, Andrews also avoided the media Monday as the team held its end-of-season availability.

The locker room was open for an hour on Monday, per ESPN, and the тιԍнт end did not show his face.

Andrews, 29, dropped a pᴀss on a two-point attempt with 1:31 left in the fourth quarter that would’ve tied the game in Orchard Park.

Instead, the Ravens flew home heartbroken after a 27-25 loss.

Head coach John Harbaugh stood up for Andrews following the game.

“There’s nobody that has more heart, cares more, and fights more than Mark,” Harbaugh told reporters. “We wouldn’t be here without Mark Andrews.”

The drop wasn’t Andrews’ only critical miscue.

After catching a Lamar Jackson pᴀss past the first-down marker, Andrews fumbled the ball away to the Bills near the Buffalo 45-yard line with 8:41 left in the fourth quarter and the Ravens trailing by five as Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard was able to strip the ball out of his grasp.

Buffalo then went on an 11-play, 52-yard field goal drive while chewing up 5:12 to take an eight-point lead.

“I’m just as hurt as Mark. I don’t [think it’s] his fault,” Lamar Jackson said after the game. “Like, all of us played a factor in the game. It’s a team effort. Just not gonna put that on Mark, bro, because he’s been battling all season.

“He been doing all the great things he’s been doing all season. It don’t always go our way. We wanted to but at the wrong time it’s like it’s not going our way. We need to figure that out.”

Andrews, a three-time Pro Bowler, finished the game with five catches on a team-high seven targets for 61 yards.

He had 55 catches for 673 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns during the regular season.
