Little Atlas was born at just 34 weeks, already facing an incredibly complex combination of congenital heart defects. 👶🫀

He was diagnosed with double outlet right ventricle (DORV), dextro-transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA), ventricular septal defect (VSD), atrial septal defect (ASD), and pulmonary atresia. 🏥💔

Because of the severity of his condition, Atlas spent almost his entire life in a cardiovascular intensive care unit.

During his short eight months, he underwent open-heart surgery, including a Rastelli procedure, and was placed on ECMO twice — once for 14 days and another time for 10 days. 🫀🏥

He also experienced five cardiac arrests, incredibly recovering from four of them. For three months following surgery, he remained sedated and medically paralyzed while doctors worked to help his body recover. 🙏💙

And then, for a brief and precious moment, Atlas finally got to go home.

He spent about a week at home and another ten days with his mother at a Ronald McDonald House, giving his family treasured memories they would carry forever. 🏡🥹

But on January 25, 2026, just one day after his eight-month birthday, Atlas pᴀssed away. 🕊️💔

His mother remembers him as a true fighter — a little boy who repeatedly surprised everyone by overcoming obstacles that seemed almost impossible.

She said Atlas seemed to receive “one last chance” again and again, only to exceed expectations. 💙

His name carried a special meaning, too.

Named after Atlas, the Greek тιтan who carried the world, he became his mother’s own little тιтan — carrying an extraordinary burden with remarkable strength. 🌍💙

Atlas’s life was heartbreakingly short, but his eight months were filled with courage, love and moments his family will treasure forever. 🥺❤️

He may have been tiny, but Atlas carried a strength far greater than his size — and his family will always remember him as their little тιтan. 🕊️💙✨
