🙏 10-Year-Old Baseball Player Finley Ebrom Begins Leukemia Treatment After Sudden Medical Emergency

‼️ JUST DAYS AGO, 10-YEAR-OLD FINLEY EBROM WAS SWIMMING IN THE SUNSHINE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. NOW, HE IS PREPARING FOR CHEMOTHERAPY AFTER A SUDDEN ILLNESS LED TO A LEUKEMIA DIAGNOSIS.

For Finley Ebrom and his family, life changed in what seemed like an instant.

The 10-year-old from Rockport, Texas, was spending time swimming and enjoying the outdoors with family and friends when he suddenly became seriously ill. His condition became severe enough that he needed to be airlifted to San Antonio.

There, his family received the diagnosis no parent ever wants to hear:

Leukemia.

Finley’s story was shared by Brittany as the young boy begins what his family describes as the fight of his life.

This week, Finley is scheduled to begin chemotherapy.

For his parents, Carissa and Lucian, the sudden change has been overwhelming. One moment, their son was doing what he loves. The next, their family was trying to understand a serious cancer diagnosis and prepare for a difficult treatment journey.

Finley is known as an active, baseball-loving kid who enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time outside.

He plays for the 11U Marucci Elite Moczygemba baseball team in the New Braunfels area. According to his family, his teammates have become much more than teammates—they are his baseball brothers.

Those who know Finley describe him as strong, polite and kindhearted, qualities that his loved ones hope will carry him through the months ahead. ❤️

But while Finley prepares for treatment, his baseball family is making sure he knows he does not have to face it by himself.

Their message is simple:

No one fights alone.

His teammates are standing with him, and his family is asking the wider community to do the same through prayers, encouragement and support.

The immediate hope is that Finley responds well to chemotherapy and has the strength to handle the difficult days ahead.

His family is also asking people to remember the doctors and nurses caring for him as they guide him through treatment.

For a 10-year-old, the words “cancer” and “chemotherapy” can be difficult to understand. Instead of spending his days focused only on baseball, fishing and playing outside, Finley is now facing hospital stays and medical treatments.

Yet his loved ones are determined to surround him with hope.

🙏 Pray for Finley to respond well to treatment.

🙏 Pray for strength for the days that feel hardest.

🙏 Pray for wisdom and strength for his medical team.

And pray for Carissa and Lucian as they navigate a journey they never had time to prepare for.

Finley still has so much ahead of him—more baseball games, more fishing trips, more adventures outdoors and countless memories waiting to be made.

For now, his family and teammates are standing together behind him.

Finley, you have an entire team fighting with you. ⚾️❤️🙏
