💔🎀 JUST 2 YEARS OLD: LITTLE IZZY BEGINS A DEVASTATING FIGHT AGAINST BRAIN CANCER

At just 2 years old, Isabella — lovingly known as Izzy — is facing a battle no child should ever have to endure.

Her family is now asking for prayers as the little girl prepares to begin treatment for an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Izzy’s grandmother, Araceli, recently reached out to share her granddaughter’s story, hoping that more people would learn about the precious little girl behind the diagnosis.

Not long ago, an MRI revealed that fluid was building up on Izzy’s brain. Doctors also discovered a tumor.

What followed was a frightening series of medical procedures. Izzy underwent two brain surgeries to remove the tumor, followed by two additional procedures involving a drain that was later removed.

Then came the pathology results her family had been desperately hoping would be different.

The tumor was diagnosed as medulloblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer that can require intensive treatment.

Although doctors were able to remove the tumor, Izzy’s fight is far from over. Her medical team still needs to determine whether the cancer has spread.

Before chemotherapy can begin, the toddler faces additional testing, including a spinal tap, examinations of her kidney and liver function, and another procedure to place a port in her chest for treatment.

For her family, the uncertainty is terrifying.

Araceli shared the heartbreaking fear that weighs most heavily on everyone:

“Our biggest fear is losing her to this battle.”

The family is also worried about the possible effects the disease and treatment could have on Izzy’s future, including her ability to walk, move her limbs or speak.

Yet despite the fear and uncertainty, Araceli says her family continues to hold тιԍнтly to their faith.

“We believe in the power of prayer,” she said.

Now they are asking others to join them.

They are praying that Izzy’s upcoming tests show that the cancer has not spread, that her doctors are guided toward the best possible treatment, and that chemotherapy will be successful.

Most of all, they want Izzy to have the chance to simply be a child again — to walk, talk, play, laugh, grow and make memories with her baby brother. ❤️

For now, Izzy’s family is taking everything one day at a time.
