🥺🦄💗 THEY WERE TOLD HER FUTURE WOULD BE UNCERTAIN — BUT THEIR “LITTLE UNICORN” KEPT DEFYING EVERY EXPECTATION ✨🙏
When Harlow Jean Scott was born on October 22, 2016, her parents had no idea just how extraordinary her journey would become.
Harlow was born with lissencephaly, an extremely rare condition in which the brain develops an unusually smooth surface. She also had microcephaly, hydrocephalus, epilepsy and partial blindness. Her parents were warned that her future was deeply uncertain.
They had already learned during pregnancy that something was wrong. Doctors raised serious concerns and even recommended ending the pregnancy multiple times.

But Harlow’s parents couldn’t give up on their little girl.
They chose to believe in her. ❤️
“We call her our little unicorn because she is magical,” her mother said — a name that perfectly captured how special Harlow was to their family.
At just a few months old, Harlow began experiencing frightening seizures. Her family faced hospital stays, medical uncertainty and countless moments when they didn’t know what the next day would bring.
Yet Harlow continued to surprise them.
Every smile was a victory.
Every new movement was something to celebrate.
Every milestone, no matter how small, became proof that her story could not be defined by predictions alone. 🥺💗
Her parents knew they couldn’t control what the future would look like.
But they could make sure Harlow was surrounded by love, encouragement and people who believed in her.
And that’s exactly what they did.
Harlow’s journey became a reminder that sometimes, doctors can describe the challenges a child may face — but they cannot always predict the strength, personality and joy that child will bring into the world.
🦄✨ She was never just a diagnosis. She was Harlow — their little unicorn, their fighter, and a beautiful reminder that hope can live in the most unexpected places. ❤️🙏
