🚨💔 9-YEAR-OLD GIRL SERIOUSLY INJURED IN PHILADELPHIA HIT-AND-RUN AS MOTHER PLEADS FOR DRIVER TO COME FORWARD

A 9-year-old Philadelphia girl is recovering from serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle that police say left the scene. Now her mother is making an emotional plea: Come forward. 🙏

Nine-year-old Zi-Yonnie Talley was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Philadelphia’s Tioga neighborhood, leaving her family searching for answers and hoping the driver responsible will be identified.

The crash happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, on the 3200 block of Germantown Avenue near Westmoreland Street.

According to Philadelphia police, a vehicle traveling northbound struck Zi-Yonnie before leaving the area.

The child was reportedly near the corner with family and friends when the collision occurred.

Her mother, Shanae Talley, said Zi-Yonnie remains in stable condition but is facing a difficult recovery.

The nine-year-old suffered a broken leg and bleeding near her kidneys, according to her mother.

For any parent, seeing a child suddenly suffer serious injuries is terrifying.

But for Shanae, the situation has been made even more painful by the fact that the driver involved has not yet been identified.

đź’” A Mother Wants Answers

Shanae is now pleading with the driver to come forward.

She is also asking anyone who witnessed the collision — or anyone who may have security or surveillance footage from the area — to contact Philadelphia police.

A single piece of information could potentially help investigators determine exactly what happened and identify the vehicle involved.

The crash occurred close to Zi-Yonnie’s school, adding another difficult layer to her recovery.

Because of her injuries, she will temporarily begin attending classes online while she heals.

Instead of walking into school with her classmates, Zi-Yonnie now has to focus on recovering from injuries she suffered in a sudden collision.

Her family is hoping that she can regain her strength and eventually return to the routines she knew before the crash. ❤️‍🩹

🚨 Police Continue Searching

Authorities are continuing to seek information about both the vehicle and the driver involved in the hit-and-run.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or may have captured relevant footage to come forward.

For Zi-Yonnie’s family, finding the person responsible is about more than identifying a driver.

It is about understanding what happened to their little girl and making sure the incident does not simply disappear.

A hit-and-run can leave victims and families with fear, frustration, and unanswered questions.

In this case, Shanae is hoping someone in the community can provide the information investigators need.

Maybe someone saw the vehicle.

Maybe someone remembers the moment of the collision.

Maybe a nearby camera captured something important.

That information could make a difference.

For now, Zi-Yonnie remains focused on healing while her mother continues advocating for answers.

She is only nine years old and should be thinking about school, friends, family, and childhood — not recovering from a serious traffic collision. 💔

🙏 If you witnessed the crash or have surveillance footage from the area around Germantown Avenue and Westmoreland Street, please contact Philadelphia police.

And please keep Zi-Yonnie and her family in your thoughts as she continues her recovery. 🕊️❤️‍🩹
