According to court documents, Arianna met 24-year-old Domonic Rodolico through social media before the two arranged to meet on July 5. Investigators allege the evening started like many first dates, with the pair visiting a local movie theater, where surveillance cameras reportedly captured them purchasing refreshments and later leaving together carrying souvenir drink cups.

Authorities say cellphone records indicate the two later traveled north into a remote desert area near Lake Pleasant. Investigators reported that both phones remained in the area for approximately 45 to 50 minutes before Arianna’s phone suddenly stopped communicating with the network. According to the affidavit, Rodolico’s device remained active for a short time afterward before leaving the location.

When Arianna failed to return home or contact her loved ones, her family reported her missing on July 7, launching an urgent search effort.

During the investigation, detectives reviewed digital communications, surveillance footage, and cellphone records while working to reconstruct Arianna’s final known movements. Authorities also conducted surveillance related to the case and documented activities they considered significant to the ongoing investigation.

Investigators eventually searched the remote desert area where Arianna’s cellphone was last detected. There, they discovered her in what authorities described as a shallow burial site.

According to the arrest affidavit, detectives recovered multiple pieces of evidence from the location, including souvenir drink cups similar to those seen in theater surveillance footage, concrete bags, plastic water bottles, latex gloves, clothing-related items, and additional materials that investigators believe may be relevant to the case.

Authorities have not yet publicly released Arianna’s official cause of pᴀssing as forensic examinations and the investigation continue.

Investigators also allege that Rodolico initially provided detectives with an account of the evening that they later determined did not match the evidence collected during the investigation. Court documents state that additional interviews, digital evidence, and forensic findings ultimately led to his arrest.

Domonic Rodolico has now been charged with first-degree m*rder. As with any criminal case, the charge represents allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
