๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ’— HER FEVER REACHED 107ยฐF โ€” AND HER FAMILY FEARED THEY MIGHT LOSE HER

At just 11 months old, little Alba Moss was rushed to hospital after her temperature climbed to a terrifying 107ยฐF (about 42ยฐC). What began like an ordinary childhood illness quickly became a life-threatening emergency. ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿฅ

Her tiny body became swollen, she stopped responding, struggled to breathe, and needed oxygen. Her eyes remained swollen shut for four days, while her parents, Jilly and Richard, could only hope their little girl would make it through. ๐Ÿ™

After being seen at hospital more than once and initially receiving another diagnosis, Alba was eventually confirmed to have measles.

She spent around eight days receiving intensive supportive care, including oxygen, IV fluids, tube feeding and vitamin A, while doctors closely watched for serious complications. โœจ

Thankfully, Alba survived and was eventually able to return home to her family. ๐ŸŒท

Her parents later shared pHเนฯ„ographs from those frightening days to help other families understand just how serious measles can be for babies who are too young to receive their first MMR vaccination.

Albaโ€™s story is a reminder of how quickly a childhood illness can become dangerous โ€” and how precious every healthy day truly is. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Today, her survival is a reason for graั‚ฮนั‚ude and hope. ๐ŸŒˆโœจ
