🚨🌳💔 A TREE FELL WITHOUT WARNING—AND A MOTHER OF THREE NEVER MADE IT HOME. NOW HER COMMUNITY IS REFUSING TO LET HER LEGACY BE FORGOTTEN. 🕯️❤️
A Stark County, Ohio, community is mourning the sudden loss of 35-year-old Bridget Reagan, a mother of three and owner of Chic Haven Boutique.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the tragedy happened at approximately 5:24 p.m. on August 15 near milepost 28 in Paris Township.
Reagan was traveling westbound on U.S. 30 when a tree fell from a wooded area onto her SUV.
She was pronounced ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at the scene.
No other vehicles were reported to be involved, making the tragedy even more difficult to comprehend. One ordinary drive became the final journey for a woman who was deeply loved by her family, friends and community. 💔
Bridget was much more than a local business owner.
Through Chic Haven Boutique, she became connected with countless people throughout the Minerva community. Friends and customers describe her as someone who encouraged others, especially people who dreamed of starting their own businesses.
Friend and customer Jamie Harhager remembered Bridget as someone who was always willing to support others.
“She was there to support anybody that wanted… to start a business,” Harhager said.
She also described Bridget as a “beautiful, beautiful soul” and a source of light in the community. ❤️
After learning of Bridget’s death Sunday morning, Harhager immediately began thinking about how she could honor her friend.
That idea became a candlelight vigil outside Chic Haven Boutique. 🕯️
The gathering was filled with personal touches.
Many people wore cheetah print, Bridget’s favorite pattern, turning the vigil into not only a moment of grief but also a celebration of who she was.
For those who knew Bridget, the boutique had become more than a place to shop.
It was a place where relationships were built, people were encouraged and friendships grew.
Now, the community Bridget supported is returning that kindness to her family.
Fundraising efforts have already begun.
Sandy Springs Brewing Company held an event pledging to donate 10% of sales between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. to Bridget’s family. Donation boxes were also made available for people who wanted to contribute.
Another local business, Comfort Zone, planned to donate 100% of its sales and tips on Sunday.
T-shirts and candles were also being created as additional ways to raise support. ❤️
Harhager called the response an “amazing community” coming together during an incredibly painful time.
And perhaps that is the most powerful part of Bridget’s story right now.
She spent her life encouraging other people.
She supported their dreams.
She helped build connections.
And now, those people are standing together to support the three children and family she leaves behind. 🕊️
Her death was sudden and heartbreaking, but the memories of her kindness will not disappear.
A mother. A business owner. A friend. A mentor. A light in her community.
Bridget Reagan’s life may have ended unexpectedly, but the impact she made on others continues through the people who loved her.
Please keep Bridget’s three children, family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they face a loss no family should ever have to endure. 🙏💔
