A report from The Wall Street Journal alleges that investigators made several potentially costly mistakes shortly after Nancy vanished, including concerns over how evidence at her home was handled.

One particularly troubling allegation involves blood found on Nancy’s front porch. According to the report, investigators initially believed the dried blood was unrelated to her disappearance. Later testing reportedly confirmed that it belonged to Nancy and may be connected to the suspected abduction. 🩸🏠

The report also claims that the home was not immediately secured as a crime scene, allowing reporters, livestreamers and delivery workers to access the porch during the early days of the investigation. 🚨
