At just 12 years old, Charlie is now facing life without her big brother, Will Roberts, whose battle with Stage IV osteosarcoma touched people far beyond his Alabama community.

Will endured surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and countless treatments during more than a year of fighting the aggressive bone cancer. But his family’s account of his life has emphasized that the illness never took away his smile, faith, humor or love for the people around him.

For Charlie, remembering Will is about much more than the illness that took him. It is about the brother who made her laugh, encouraged her and remained a source of strength even during the hardest parts of his own journey.
