For years, Patrick Clancy has carried a grief that words can barely explain.

Now, in his first major television interview since the mistrial in the case involving his former wife, Lindsay Clancy, Patrick opened up about the moments that followed the tragedy that changed his family forever.

And one memory, in particular, remains painfully clear.

💔 “JUST GIVE ME ONE…”

After returning home on January 24, 2023, Patrick discovered that his three children had been critically harmed.

Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, just 8 months old, were taken for emergency medical treatment.

Patrick later recalled that, despite everything that had happened, he continued to hope that his youngest son might survive.

“I really thought there was a chance that Callan would live,” he said.

Then came the plea that captured the desperation of those final hours:

“Just give me one. Just give me one kid.”

He imagined raising Callan, giving him the best life he could and telling him about the brother and sister he had lost.

For a father facing an unimaginable moment, that hope became something to hold onto.

🏥 THE DOCTOR’S EXPRESSION

Patrick said he continued believing Callan might survive until he reached the hospital.

Then he saw the expression on one of the doctors’ faces.

He understood what that look meant.

The hope he had been holding onto began to disappear.

Callan later d#ied at Boston Children’s Hospital, three days after the January 24 tragedy.

🕊️ YEARS OF GRIEF

During the interview, Patrick spoke openly about the years that followed.

He said he continues to dream about his children and carries their memory with him every day.

He also spoke about forgiveness and about his belief that Lindsay’s severe mental illness played a central role in what happened. Patrick has rejected descriptions of her as simply a “monster” or “killer,” saying he believes her mental illness was responsible for her actions.

His comments come after Lindsay’s 2026 trial ended in a mistrial when the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict.

For Patrick, however, the legal proceedings are only one part of the story.

The deeper story is about three children he loved — Cora, Dawson and Callan — and a family whose life was permanently changed in a single night.

💙 REMEMBERING THE CHILDREN

Patrick’s message was not simply about the courtroom.

It was about remembering his children as children.

Cora.

Dawson.

Callan.
