๐ BREAKING: PRESTON DAVEYโS CASE IS RAISING NEW QUESTIONS ABOUT CHILD SAFETY AND SAFEGUARDING
Renewed attention on Preston Daveyโs case is now extending beyond the courtroom, as forensic and medical evidence helped investigators piece together a clearer picture of the 13-month-oldโs final months.
The trial examined medical records, earlier hospital contacts, pHเนฯographs, videos and other evidence as prosecutors built their case. Prestonโs prospective adoptive father was convicted and received a whole-life order, while his adoptive mother was convicted of allowing his d*ath.
But the legal outcome has not ended the wider questions.

An independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review is examining the involvement of agencies and whether information and concerns were identified, shared and acted upon effectively. The government has said the review is ongoing and that its findings should not be anticipated. (questions-statements.parliament.uk)
A future inquest is also expected to provide another opportunity to examine the circumstances surrounding Prestonโs d*ath and the actions of relevant authorities.
Prestonโs story continues to raise an important question: when concerns emerge around a vulnerable child, are all the pieces of information being connected quickly enough to keep that child safe?
