🏈💔 “LONG LIVE ADAM”: COMMUNITY REMEMBERS 17-YEAR-OLD FOOTBALL STAR AFTER TRAGIC ON-FIELD INJURY

For the Mᴀssman family, their 17-year-old son Adam represented a future filled with possibilities.

He was a senior in high school, a talented quarterback, a dedicated student, a pᴀssionate cattle exhibitor and a young man deeply loved by his family and friends.

Then, during a football game, everything changed.

Adam suffered a serious injury following what his mother, Brianne Mᴀssman, described as a helmet-to-helmet collision. Emergency medical personnel immediately responded before Adam was transported for further medical care.

Despite every effort, Adam pᴀssed away two days later.

His pᴀssing left his family, teammates and the wider community struggling to understand how someone so young could be gone so suddenly.

Adam was a senior quarterback at Lincoln Junior/Senior High School and had spent years participating in sports, academics and activities that reflected his determination.

On the football field, he was recognized as a leader. As quarterback, he helped guide his teammates and contributed both through pᴀssing and rushing during his previous season.

But football was only one part of Adam’s life.

Away from the field, he had a deep pᴀssion for agriculture and animals. He participated in cattle shows and took great pride in the work involved in raising livestock.

In 2025, Adam achieved one of his proudest accomplishments when he won the Bred and Owned Beef Steer compeтιтion at the Wisconsin State Fair. 🐄🏆

His interests extended beyond agriculture and football. Adam also competed in basketball, baseball and golf while maintaining a commitment to his education.

Those who knew him described him as hardworking, humble and determined — someone who gave his best whether he was competing, studying, working with cattle or simply spending time with the people he loved.

For his family, his accomplishments were never simply awards or statistics. They reflected the character of a young man who approached life with dedication.

After Adam’s pᴀssing, his teammates found a meaningful way to honor him.

They transformed his school parking spot into a memorial filled with memories and symbols connected to his life and his family’s cattle operation.

At the center was a simple message:

“LLA — Long Live Adam.” ❤️

Those three letters became a lasting reminder that although Adam’s time was far too short, his influence did not end with him.

His family now remembers the laughter, energy and determination he brought into their lives. His teammates remember a quarterback and friend they could trust. His community remembers an accomplished young man who gave his best to everything he pursued.

Adam had only 17 years to build his story.

But within those 17 years, he created memories that will remain with the people who knew and loved him.

His future was supposed to stretch decades ahead.

Instead, his legacy will now live through the people carrying his name forward.
