A Texas mother of seven is racing toward Texas Children’s Hospital tonight, desperate for answers about her young daughter.
Harmoni, a little girl who has captured the hearts of thousands, has suddenly taken another frightening turn.
Her mother says doctors still don’t know exactly what is happening — but they are working urgently to find out. ✈️🏥

For many people who have followed Harmoni’s journey, her face is instantly recognizable.

The young girl from Wharton, Texas, has been fighting DIPG, an aggressive childhood brain cancer, since her diagnosis last year. Throughout that difficult journey, thousands of people have offered prayers and encouragement to Harmoni and her family.

Now, her mother, Selena, is asking that same community to stand beside them once again.

According to Selena, she and Harmoni were at Memorial Hermann when doctors made the decision to transfer the child to Texas Children’s Hospital. Harmoni is now being life-flighted there while medical teams work to understand the sudden change in her condition. ✈️

For Selena, the hardest part may be the uncertainty.

At this moment, she does not have an explanation for what is causing Harmoni’s sudden decline. She has only the fear of a critically ill daughter, another emergency trip to the hospital and the hope that doctors can find answers quickly.

In July, Harmoni was already dealing with major medical complications, including pneumonia affecting both lungs and a bloodstream infection. At the time, Selena was simply hoping for more precious time with her daughter.

Now, the family is facing another frightening moment.

Selena is specifically asking people to pray for Harmoni’s breathing, strength and healing, as well as for the doctors and nurses preparing to care for her at Texas Children’s. 🙏🕊️
