Sixteen-year-old Bryan Lowe was riding an e-bike near Cottage Cross, close to Cloonlara on the Clare-Limerick border, when a collision occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday, September 4. Emergency services found the teenager unresponsive at the roadside, and he was pronounced d3ad at the scene. GardaΓ­ confirmed that another vehicle involved in the collision failed to remain there.

Bryan, who was from the Cloonlara and Westbury area and attended St Munchin’s College in Limerick, has been remembered by his school as β€œan absolute gentleman,” with tributes describing him as kind and respectful. His family has also spoken of their devastation following his sudden d3ath.

The investigation is continuing. GardaΓ­ are seeking the driver or occupants of a silver/gold Skoda Octavia believed to have been in the Cloonlara/Castleconnell area around the time of the incident, and are appealing for dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage that could help establish what happened.
