Shreveport, Louisiana — A growing memorial outside Summer Grove Elementary School has become a place of remembrance and grief as students.
Teachers, and community members honor the lives of Sariahh Snow and Khedarrion Snow, two of the eight children killed in a tragic shooting that has shaken the city.
According to school officials, Sariahh Snow, an 11-year-old fourth grader, and Khedarrion Snow, a 6-year-old kindergartener, were both students at the school.

In the days following the tragedy, classmates and teachers have placed flowers, candles, stuffed animals, and handwritten messages outside the campus in their memory.
Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred Sunday morning and involved Shamar Elkins, who was identified as the person responsible for the shooting.
Officials reported that eight children were killed, seven of them his own and one a relative.
